There are many kinds of boards, but single layer PCBs are the most common type. They are usually not used in complex products or designs. However, there is no doubt that single-sided printed boards are widely used in the market, and they have a large number of customers.
Single layer boards are those in which components are assembled on only one side. That is why they are used in low-cost products such as household electronics, LED devices, etc. These boards are the best choice for low-cost and less complex projects.

If your design is more complex and you want a small-sized board with higher functionality than single-sided printed circuit boards, then double-sided printed circuit boards are the ideal choice. In double layer boards, there are two copper layers on the top and bottom. Copper pads and traces are available on both sides and are connected through plated through holes (PTH).
